Where to buy great cheese
If you are looking to buy great cheese, you can check to see if the producer sells direct.
However, cheesemongers and delis are great sources of advice and the great news is that many have online and bricks and mortar shops. Plus, they give you the opportunity to buy from loads of different cheesemakers at once.
Courtyard Dairy, Settle You can make this a few hours out if you visit in person as there is a wine and beer shop, bakery, an amazing pizza restaurant ‘Rind’ and a mini cheese museum all on this beautiful rural site.
Liverpool Cheese Company, Woolton
Neals Yard Dairy, various London locations The OG cheesemongers with an iconic Covent Garden shop.
Harvey and Brockless Cheese, charcuterie and a host of artisan goodies.
Grate, Newcastle I did my Academy of Cheese training in the same group as Grate owner Moz, and I wish I lived near her shop!

Calder Cheesehouse, Todmorden/ Halifax
Butcher’s Quarter, Manchester NQ Yes, this butcher but it also has a great cheese selection
